 What?s Involved ?

The Restoration Process

Most vehicles need either bodywork and chassis repairs as well as a mechanical overhaul, electrical work, re-upholstery as well as a full re-spray.

Then perhaps some modifications maybe required for example upgraded brakes, improved cooling, suspension work, performance enhancements such as induction kits and fuel system

But even if you just need some minor cosmetic repairs or a T  cut and polish we are happy to oblige.

For a full ground up rebuild and restoration here are some of the processes involved and we will gladly quote for any or all or the procedures involved.

We are aware that budget constraints can often be a quandary and we will do our level best to meet your needs and we do offer staged payments.

A Full photographic service is also offered as part of the process so that you can have a record of all the work that is carried out and provides further provenance on the vehicle.

The following is an example of some of the processes involved.

Totally strip down the vehicle back to a bare shell and where required remove it from a separate chassis.

Have the body/chassis shot or sandblasted back to bare metal. Repair and or replace any panels and chassis sections

Apply a coat of rust inhibitor. Wax oil and underseal as required. Seal all seams then apply primer and paint in the colour of your choice.

Overhaul, replace, repair and upgrade all mechanical components as required including installing unleaded engines and cylinder heads. Engine Tuning, gearbox and clutch work. Axles and drive shafts. Brakes and suspension.

Overhaul, test and replace, repair and upgrade all electrical components as required. Such as fuse boxes, relays, alternators, dynamos. Starter motors coils, electronic ignitions

Refit and or replace all the removed glass, seals and trim, refit the carpets and seats. Refit all chrome and brightwork.

Have the vehicle MOT'd, cleaned and made ready for collection.

Provide on going updates on the vehicles progress for all our customers.
