Top Tips

Because we care and like to share (and were poets and didn't know it) we thought it would be great to use this page to provide all classic car and kit car users with some useful hints and tips on looking after your pride and joy.

Please also feel free to email us with anything useful that we can pass on to the car caring world.

Bank Holidays and lots of traffic!! take something to drink with you if you are on a long journey and get caught in a traffic Jam so you don't get dehydrated.

Make sure your mobile phone is fully charged and in credit Carry a first Aid kit.

Make sure your spare wheel is inflated and you have a jack and wheelbrace to change a puncture if needed.

Alternatively carry a puncture repair kit.

If you take your pets with you don't let them drive.

Just because you have a satnav doesn't mean you can't get lost buy a good quality map and learn how to read it.

Tyres and their pressures should also be checked as they are key to safe motoring and better fuel consumption.

Check your engine oil, brake and clutch fluid, power steering levels weekly. Also check radiator coolant and washer levels too!

Vinegar and newspaper is still the best cleaner of smeared glass and windows.

Just because its a full moon doesn't mean you can put on your sunglasses.

High Vis Jackets or clothing should be warn if you have broken down in a place where it may be difficult to be seen by rescue services and oncoming traffic.

Use either your mobile phone or a buy a disposable camera so that you can take pictures of an accident or damage to you or your vehicle.

Always keep a cloth or wipes handy for cleaning mirrors and lights and removing annoying bird muck!
